Practical Information

Access to Clermont-Ferrand and the conference venue:

By plane: 

Clermont-Ferrand has a local airport that is served by a few planes per day from Paris, Charles-de-Gaulle airport. 

The closest bigger airport to Clermont-Ferrand with more international connections is Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. From Lyon airport you can join Clermont-Ferrand by taking the Rhone Express to the train station Lyon Part Dieu and a train (SNCF, TER) to Clermont-Ferrand.

Alternatively, Lyon airport is also served by Flixbus and Blablacar that stop at Place Gambetta-Les Salins close to the center of Clermont-Ferrand, where you have connection with Tram A and several buses (see below) to reach the conference venue. 

By car:

Clermont-Ferrand is located in the center of France and can be easily reached by motorways A71, A75 and A89.

There are parking possibilities behind the CHU and in front of the Medical Faculty (Place Dunant).

By train:

Clermont-Ferrand can be reached from Lyon Part Dieu train station by TER and from Paris, Gare de Bercy, by Intercity train.

Local transport: 

For local transport in Clermont-Ferrand you can check the T2C website. 

At the train station, you have connections with Bus B, 3, 4 and 8. Tickets can be bought in the red vending machines. 

The CRBC is located close to the CHU Montpied, Place Dunant. 

To join the conference venue from the train station, you can take Bus 8 (destination Pl. d'Armes) that is direct from the train station to the stop CHU Montpied. 

Alternatively, take Bus B (destination ROYAT Pl. Allard) or 4 (destination Ceyrat Pradeaux) and stop at UCA - Campus Centre and then change for 2 stops into the tramline (Tram A) direction Pardieu Gare and get off at CHU Montpied. 

The same bus ticket is valid for the trip including connection.

Access to the CRBC building:

The CRBC building is located behind the medical faculty. Signs will be put up to help you reach the CRBC building.

The meeting will take place in the Limagne auditorium.
